The Headlines:
In the role of Maintenance Mechanic working in Irwindale, CA, you will be part of the Brewing and Utilities department. You will be responsible for understanding and troubleshooting the complex systems and equipment used in our brewery. This position reports to the Asset Care Manager and works closely with the Brewing and Utilities departments.

  • The Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate problems and generate options to find actionable practical solutions
  • Support brewing operations by coaching/mentoring, developing SOP’s, quick-fix routines for the breakdown process and carrying out work activities as planned during maintenance day windows
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive maintenance routines, making revisions and improvements to increase effectiveness
  • Understand the principles of utilities/facilities systems and equipment including ammonia refrigeration, electrical distribution, carbon dioxide systems, compressed air systems, steam and water systems, HVAC and general building maintenance
  • Use shop equipment (lathes, milling machine, drill press, band saw) to perform repairs

  • The Other Qualifications:
  • Industrial journeyman level and on-the-job experience as a stationary engineer and/or heavy industrial maintenance field
  • Previous Navy (Nuclear or Conventional) or Merchant Marine engine room experience is a plus
  • Previous experience with vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography, and laser alignment are a plus
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You have a flexible schedule to accommodate full time work, including all shifts and weekends/holidays
  • You have the ability to be called in for emergency coverage and work overtime as necessary
  • Must be comfortable working in physically confined spaces and awkward positions including bending, twisting and stooping
  • Must be comfortable working in high and low temperatures, exposure to dust, high humidity and high noise environments
