  • Flexible 8 hours work schedule.
  • Some Holidays, weekends and overtime are required.
  • Support, troubleshoot, improve, and maintain equipment.
  • Working with barley and malt.
  • Greenhouse, field and lab work.
  • Must be willing to do repetitive tasks.
  • Cross Training in other departments to help with seasonal work flows
  • Greenhouse work including maintaining barley cultivars, planting, harvesting and cleaning seed.
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures (SOP’s), plant and safety policies are followed at all times.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Other routine tasks as necessary.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficient PC Skills
  • Basic plant knowledge; physiology.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Superior work history, including good attendance.
  • Demonstrates strong commitment to achieving company goals by focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Required: High School diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of Botany, Biology or Agriculture.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques and equipment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates.
  • Ability to continuously stand, bend twist and lift 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license
