  • Exhibit excellent culinary knowledge and leadership skills while executing special events.
  • Attend weekly Special Event meetings with Biergarten Assistant Managers, Front of House Lead, and Special Event Lead.
  • Ensure a safe operation of the kitchen and adhere to sanitation/safety/security guidelines.
  • Assist with the daily kitchen operations and ensure all quality standards are maintained.
  • Ensures that food and beer orders are completed, and conducts monthly product inventory.
  • Provide exceptional guest service and assistance.
  • Assist with all kitchen staff hiring and training.
  • Assist with creation and posting of weekly back of the house labor schedule. Help monitor labor costs and make adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in staff supervision on a daily basis.
  • Other responsibilities as directed by the Assistant Managers.
  • Open and close Biergarten on a regular basis.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Biergarten draught system. Ensure highest quality standards are met.
  • Back up for employee time cards entry.
  • Troubleshoot DCRS POS sale system and understand POS processes.
  • Inspect Biergarten daily and correct problem areas.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a full service kitchen.
  • Experience in a high volume restaurant preferred.
  • Some culinary education preferred.
  • Experience cooking with beer preferred.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Clear understanding of all back of the house responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong guest service skills and being a team player required.
  • Must be open to flexible working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week.
