The Headlines

In the role of a Plant Maintenance Electrician working at the Rocky Mountain Metal Container, you will be part of the Electrical Department in Production Operations. You will be responsible for playing an important role in providing electrical support to our operations, production, engineering and maintenance groups. Our electrical services team helps ensure the achievement of the plants vision and business plan in terms of value, quality, service and people.

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and works closely with our production teams.

The Responsibilities:

  • On request, lends technical support to Maintenance areas for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of their equipment, assists or instructs Maintenance in the troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
  • Confers with Utility Operations group regarding configuration of electrical distribution system. Advises as to the integrity of the system and assists with coordinating switching outages and transfers for required maintenance work.
  • Works with engineering on check-out, start-up and modifications to bring new utility equipment on line. Must have the necessary experience, aptitude and education to perform electrical and controls duties such as set-up, adjustment, calibrate, tune, troubleshoot, preventative maintenance inspection and overhaul
  • Assists mechanics, HVAC mechanics, Engineering, Construction, Technical Services, Instrument Shop and production in the design, installation, commissioning and training related to new or modified
  • Must be knowledgeable of microprocessor based systems including computers, distributed control systems and program logic controllers. Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and repair systems in a

The Other Qualifications –

  • Industrial Journeyman level and on-the-job experience in the industrial electrical/electronic/controls/controls fields
  • Must be proficient in the use of test instruments such as but not limited to; volt/ohm multi-meters, clamp-on amp meters, meggars, transducers, oscilloscopes and PLC and processor based program/diagnostic panels.
  • You are a motivated leader that can inspire others; you respect your commitments and are able to obtain optimal results from your team through respect and development.
  • You are serious about delivering results, and take pride in a proven track record in delivering.
  • You have a high school diploma or a GED .
  • You are at least 21 years of age
